Catholic Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese, Bishop
Mathew Hassan Kukah, on Wednesday 29th of July advised President
Muhammadu Buhari to beware of sycophants and that lack of continuity by the
political leadership was the bane of the nation’s problems.
Bishop Kukah made the remark at the opening
ceremony of the 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institution
of Surveyors (NIS) held in Sokoto.
He further said it will be impossible
for the country progress when political leaders keep changing friends and
commitment, pointing out that continuity of purpose was necessary to develop as
a nation.
The cleric cautioned the President to beware of
those people pretending to be his friends while they have a hidden agenda.
